Hello! We are Greg and Lori! Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We admire your strength and courage in considering adoption. We know this cannot be easy, but we know that whatever decision you make will come from the heart. We are praying for you as you continue to walk this journey.

We met through a young adult group at church. Our first date turned into a four-hour dinner, and Lori says she knew that she had met her match that day. We dated for eight months before getting engaged. Our dates consisted of exploring Disney parks, bowling, mini-golf, local festivals, parks, day trips around Florida, movies, sporting events, and museums. We were married on a beautiful sunny day at our church with a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony in the Spring of 2017. We had friends and family from around the country present to share in the celebration with us. Our reception was a party that was years in the making, filled with laughter, a full dance floor, and a sparkler exit. We went to Lisbon, Portugal, for our honeymoon, a wonderful new place to explore and start our married life.

Adoption has deeply impacted our lives already - Greg was adopted as an infant. Since we have always wanted a child, and we have not been able to conceive biologically, we felt God was calling us toward adoption. We are excited to see Greg's story of adoption come full circle as we pursue adoption to grow our family.

Your adoption social worker can help you determine what level of assistance you qualify for and deserve. FAQ’s about placing a baby for Adoption

I'm considering giving my baby up for adoption. How much does that cost?

It won't cost you anything. If you choose to place your baby for adoption, all of your medical and legal fees will be covered and you may be eligible for financial assistance with other pregnancy-related expenses.

I'm experiencing an unplanned pregnancy and don't know who the birth father is. Can I still place my baby for adoption?

Yes. Even if you don’t know the identity of the birth father, you can still choose to make an adoption plan. However, every adoption situation is different. The adoption social worker you’re assigned to will get to know you and your story first, and then guide you through the process accordingly.

When is the right time to talk with an adoption professional?

You can make an adoption plan at any point in your pregnancy, even after the baby has been born. But, it's important to start the process as early in your pregnancy as possible. Connecting with those resources will allow you to gain access to important medical services, including prenatal care, to help ensure a healthy pregnancy.

When I create an adoption plan, will I get to choose who is in the room with me during delivery?

One aspect of your adoption plan is the "Hospital Plan" an outline of how you'd like your hospital stay and delivery to go. You can craft this on your own or with the help of your adoption social worker. But everything is up to you. You’ll be able to choose who comes to the hospital with you, who is in the room with you during delivery, and how much time you’d like to spend with the baby before signing the final papers.

How much contact will I have with the adoptive family after I place my baby with them?

As part of your adoption plan, you'll determine whether or not you’d like to have an open or closed adoption or something in between. Open adoptions may include phone calls, messaging (via social media, email, or text), and/or periodic visits each year. Closed adoptions may include no contact at all or annual updates provided to the birth parent(s) by the adoptive family. Each post-adoption relationship is different and can vary based on what an expectant mother chooses in her adoption plan.

A Little Magicalness

03/10/2024

We are fortunte to be Disney Annual Passholders and take advantage of any opportunity to enjoy the parks and make magical memories. There is something about walking though park gates and no matter how busy our lives may be, it all seems to go away to focus on the fun. Our visit may consist of a few hours or an entire day, depending on the unpredictible Florida weather or the crowd levels. Our last visit was to the Magic Kingdom, which is Lori's favorite park. We were like big kids enjoying Dumbo, the tea cups, the magic carpets, It's a small world, the speedway, The Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear, Jungle Cruise, and even the Haunted Mansion. Due to the time change, the fireworks were even earlier which was a nice bonus to our magical day! Happily Ever After is an amazing showcase of so many Disney movie favorites, exciting fireworks, and even a live performace of Tinkerbell flying though the air. You just can't help put a smile on your face as you view the spectacular in front of your eyes. The Happily Ever After song hits home for us in the journey we are on, as the song lyrics...

Cruising to the Caribbean

04/21/2024

Since we began the adoption journey our travels have been on pause to allow us to cover expenses and save for the potential addition to our family. We love traveling and were excited for the opporutnity to travel again. For Lori's 40th birthday we were gifted with a cruise to the Caribbean from her parents, but unfortunately it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Just last month we finally got to kick back and relax while we sailed away; taking a much needed vacation and break from our regular schedules. In addition to celebrating this special birthday, this was Greg's first time cruising and he loved every minute of it! We enjoyed early morning sunrises on our balcony and soaking in the warm sun in tropical locations.  During two of our stops we spent much of our time snorkeling, this was the first time for us snorkeling together and exploring the ocean and beautiful fish around us. Our ship was truly a floating city with activities and entertainment happening all around us. Greg loves triva and we conqured many of the challenging games together while laughing and enjoying our time together. We played mini golf, ping pong and relaxed...
